Bring a past clinic or hearing-center result into the same view as your Audiomaxxer data. The comparison is a measurement check, not a diagnosis.

How the comparison is calculated

Only frequency-and-ear pairs visible in both datasets are compared. The sign tells you which result is higher; the absolute value tells you how far apart they are.

Difference at one matched point

Difference = TAudiomaxxerTClinic

A positive value means the Audiomaxxer threshold is higher (a quieter tone was needed in the Audiomaxxer screening). A negative value means the clinic threshold is higher.

Mean absolute error (MAE)

MAE = 1ni=1n |TAudiomaxxer,iTClinic,i|

MAE summarizes the average absolute separation across n matched ear-frequency points. It does not prove that either result is clinically accurate.

There are no matched ear-frequency points yet. Audiomaxxer currently tests 500, 1000, 2000, 4000, 8000 Hz; a clinic report needs a readable value at the same frequency for the calculation to include it.

These values compare units as printed: clinic results are usually clinical dB HL, while Audiomaxxer levels are relative/estimated and device-dependent. Treat a large difference as a reason to review the source reports with an audiologist, not as a diagnosis.
